Service Description

COURSE OVERVIEW: The Train the Trainer in Medication Awareness course equips participants with the knowledge of safe medication practices and the teaching skills to deliver this training effectively in health and social care or related settings. The course covers the principles of medication awareness, including types of medication, routes of administration, safe storage, record-keeping, and the importance of following policies and procedures. Participants will explore the roles and responsibilities of staff involved in medication handling, the importance of accuracy in administration, the risks of errors, and how to report and respond to incidents. The programme also develops training delivery skills such as lesson planning, adapting to different learning styles, engaging learners, assessing competence, and ensuring sessions meet workplace compliance and sector standards.
