Emergency Paediatric First Aid Training

Course Overview:

Focusing on medical emergencies in children and infants, this full-day training course covers CPR, choking, allergic reactions, and other urgent conditions. It is essential for nursery staff, teachers, childminders, and carers. Staff learn how to respond calmly and effectively, providing reassurance to families and ensuring the organisation meets safeguarding and safety responsibilities.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

🎯Assess and manage paediatric emergency situations with confidence

🎯Perform CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on infants and children

🎯Place a child or infant in the recovery position and manage unresponsiveness

🎯Recognise and treat injuries such as burns, fractures, bleeding, and head injuries

🎯Respond to medical conditions including asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, and anaphylaxis

🎯Record and report incidents accurately in line with best practice and legislation
