Course Overview:

The Train the Trainer in Food Safety Awareness course provides participants with both the subject knowledge of food hygiene and safety, and the skills required to deliver this training effectively to others. The course covers the principles of food safety, including safe food handling, cross-contamination prevention, temperature control, cleaning and disinfection, personal hygiene, and allergen awareness. Learners will also explore the legal responsibilities of food handlers under food safety legislation, common causes of foodborne illness, and workplace best practices to maintain high standards of safety. Alongside this, participants will develop training delivery skills such as lesson planning, engaging different learning styles, assessing competence, and ensuring training is accurate, compliant, and relevant to workplace needs.

Participants attending this course must be present for the duration of the training in order to receive a certificate upon completion. Participants must not be expected to be on shift during the training and the environment must be safe and suitable for the training to be delivered.
