Course Overview:

The Train the Trainer in Fire Safety Awareness course equips participants with the knowledge and teaching skills to confidently deliver fire safety training in the workplace. The course covers the principles of fire prevention, common causes of workplace fires, fire detection and alarm systems, fire classifications, and the correct selection and use of fire extinguishers. Learners will also explore emergency evacuation procedures, the role of fire wardens, legal requirements under fire safety legislation, and best practices for maintaining a safe environment. In addition, the programme develops training delivery skills, including lesson planning, adapting teaching to different learning styles, assessing competence, and ensuring that training sessions meet workplace compliance and health and safety standards.

Participants attending this course must be present for the duration of the training in order to receive a certificate upon completion. Participants must not be expected to be on shift during the training and the environment must be safe and suitable for the training to be delivered.
